I am so glad you are here. I am a warm, bright and enthusiastic person who has a genuine heart to see you flourish in life.
I am respectfully curious about you and thoroughly committed to professionally walking with you as you travel through the healing process.
You need to be heard and I’m here to listen
About Betty
“For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the LORD, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
Early Ministry and Work
I came to know the Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour in 1976.
Following on from my conversion to Christ, I was called to Youth With A Mission (YWAM). With my family we travelled to New Zealand and spent 12 months in their Family Discipleship Training on Great Barrier Island. During my time with YWAM I travelled to other countries on short term missions.
I spent many years working as a nurse in hospitals, medical practice and in community nursing.
Elijah House Prayer Ministry
The Lord called me to look at a person holistically and also minster to the soul and spirit of the person. I undertook The Elijah House Prayer Counselling Course finishing at the Advanced level. I have spent many hours prayer counselling people at Emmanuel Care Centre a charity I managed for four years
Christian Counselling & Mental Health
In 2014 the Lord called me to study Autism Spectrum Disorders at Birmingham University in England. In 2018 the Lord again called me to formalise my Counselling skills and I completed a Diploma in Christian Counselling with the Institute of Family Counselling.
International Charity for Carers of People With Autism
Autism became a passion for me when I found it amongst my own family. The journey began as to how to help and minister to the people I knew and particularly the carers of those on the autism spectrum who were in desperate need of understanding. I travelled to the United Kingdom to meet with others who were of like-minded, and from that meeting I started an International charity for Carers of People with Autism.
The charity not only assisted and advocated for carers but also conducted workshops for police and service providers. The charity also worked with psychologists specifically trained in ASD to bring understanding to carers and service providers alike, of the need for understanding and supporting people on the Autism spectrum.
Nomination For Law and Justice Foundation Volunteer Award
For her work setting up and service to the charity for Carers with Autism Betty’s service was recognised and she was nominated for the prestigious Law and Justice Foundation Volunteer Award at Parliament House in Sydney Australia. Betty has been invited to speak at many organisations regarding the understanding of Autism. To talk to Betty about speaking at your organisation, please contact Betty HERE
Ordained Minister
In 2021, Betty’s passion for healing of the whole person led her to become an ordained minister.
